    SPOT REMOVAL TIPS & TRICKS

    SPOT REMOVAL TIPS: WOOL

It is crucial to deal with stains quickly to prevent them from setting into the woolen fibers. Try everything you can before you press your wool garments, because heat makes stains permanent. Before trying any solution, test it in the seam allowance of the garment to make sure it doesn’t remove the dye.

    SPOT REMOVAL TIPS: BLOOD

Blood stains are relatively easy to remove before they set but can be nearly impossible to wash out after 24 hours. Treat the stain before it sets by pouring full-strength white vinegar on the spot. Let it soak in for 5-10 minutes, then blot well with a cloth or towel. Wash immediately.

    SPOT REMOVAL TIPS: SILK

To remove marks resulting from tea and coffee spills, sponge them with lukewarm water. Next, gently rub a little glycerin into the area, and let it sit for at least half an hour. Rinse the area with warm water. If a greasy mark still remains, sponge it away with dry-cleaning fluid.

    SPOT REMOVAL TIPS: RED WINE

For removing red wine stains from carpet, first apply hydrogen peroxide, giving it a few minutes to penetrate carpet fibers. Next, using a spray bottle filled with one part water and one part carpet cleaner, mist the stain. Blot with a clean cloth until stain is removed.
